The person behind the biscuit
About
One Less Biscuit wasn't built by a doctor, a dietitian, or a fitness influencer. It was built by someone who needed it.
Hi. I'm Paul Palmer.
I built this website because I needed it and it didn't exist.
I'm not a doctor. I'm not a nutritionist. I'm not a personal trainer. I'm someone who has been seriously overweight for most of my adult life — someone who loves food, has zero interest in gyms, and has tried and given up on more diets than I care to admit.
The problem with every diet I've ever encountered is that they're written for people who are already fairly motivated. They assume you're ready to overhaul your eating, count your calories, meal prep on Sundays. They assume you have willpower.
Most of us don't. Most of us are busy, tired, and would frankly rather have a biscuit.
What I discovered — through reading the actual science — is that tiny changes, done consistently, genuinely work. Not dramatic changes. Not a total lifestyle overhaul. Just one less biscuit. Just one extra trip up the stairs. Just one small thing, repeated.
The maths is real. The habit science is solid. And critically, it's the only approach that hasn't made me feel like I'm failing before I've even started.
I built One Less Biscuit to share that idea with anyone else who feels the same way. If it helps even one person feel slightly less rubbish about their weight — without ever making them feel guilty about their biscuits — then that's worth it.
